Meet the band
Anna Alexander
Anna Alexander has been performing vocally and pianistically for over 20 years. She has used both of these talents for numerous weddings, churches, nursing homes, choirs, ensembles, and even CD recordings. She led worship music at her church for more than 10 years and currently volunteers on her church’s worship team. Anna is also a math teacher at Spring Grove Area High School where she loves to share her musical gifts to benefit the school community. Anna’s hobbies include dancing, playing the ukulele, and learning the cello. Her love for jazz music only strengthened her love for swing dancing, and in 2017, she performed as a dancer in Servant Stage Company’s show, Sing, Sing, Swing. Anna loves to spread joy through music and dancing in any way that she can.
Chuck Oettel
Chuck has studied, performed, and taught music for over 40 years. He is well versed in many styles of music, having played in jazz combos, big bands, show bands, and gospel groups. In addition to playing with The Anna Alexander Trio, Chuck also plays for Swing Street and is a much sought-after sideman with numerous jazz groups in the area.
Rick Reinhart
Rick Reinhart acquired an interest in jazz and playing the piano shortly after graduating from high school. After spending time studying with various piano teachers and learning on his own, he started a four-piece band consisting of piano, bass, sax, and drums. Since then, he has played with a number of different bands and vocalists.

CEREMONY MUSIC: Need someone to play and sing live music while people are arriving to your wedding ceremony? Anna can play a mix of classical, sacred, and secular music for your special day. This would include the prelude music as people are arriving, the processional music when the bridal party walks down the aisle, and/or the recessional music as the bridal party exits. RECEPTION MUSIC: You can hire The Anna Alexander Trio to play music for your reception. We have a nice mix of jazz and blues music. If you enjoy swing dancing, we would be perfect for your reception! We can also add musicians to our trio to have a fuller sound for your venue. We typically hire a bassist. Please contact us for pricing.
REHEARSAL DINNER MUSIC: The Anna Alexander Trio would be happy to play for your rehearsal dinner! We’ll take care of providing a lovely ambiance with live music while you enjoy your time with your special guests!
Retirement Communities: We adore playing for retirement communities! Anna can do an hour-long sacred music concert OR the Anna Alexander Trio can perform some fun and lively jazz music for your residents. Let us know what you would like!
Special Events: Whatever you’re hosting, we’d be happy to add the music! Anniversary celebrations, birthday parties, business parties, retirement parties, summer parties, Christmas parties, you name it! Just contact us to tell us what you’d like!
Swing Dances: We love performing for swing dances! Let us know if you want us to play for you. Keep in mind we can always add musicians for a fuller sound—brass, drums, etc. Just let us know what you want.
Music in the Park: If you are looking for a band to play for your park’s summer concert event, look no further! We would love to perform, and we typically attract a crowd of swing dancers who come along to dance to our music! Let us know if you’re interested!
Celebration of Life Services/Memorial Services: Losing a loved one is difficult—it’s stressful, it’s a roller coaster of emotions, and it’s hard to make decisions when you are grieving. If you want music for a memorial service, Anna is the perfect person to ask, even if you don’t quite know what you want. She is full of compassion and has much experience in this area. She has a large repertoire of songs to perform for the service and while people are arriving. If you need someone to encourage you and comfort you with music, please reach out to Anna. She has worked with several families when they have lost a loved one and will be ready and willing to help if she is available.

NOTES FROM THE HEART
Anna recorded a piano soundtrack for a gentlemen who performs and tours with a Southern Gospel group called the Keystone State Quartet.
Anna sang and played the piano for an outdoor wedding ceremony.
Anna volunteered her time to accompany all the choirs at Spring Grove Area High School throughout the year. She played for their performances at a Law Day event, Rocky Ridge, the Spring Grove Scholarship Banquet, musical auditions, graduation, and their winter and spring concerts.
Anna played and sang music at a funeral service, and she holds this note of thanks dear to her heart. The family counts it a huge blessing that she shared her gift of music, and she counts it her honor and privilege to have been able to comfort them in their grief and rejoice with them as they celebrated the life of an incredible woman who was so dear to them.
